On the streets of New Orleans, rumors start to circulate about a new strange pill that grants users individualized superpowers. The problem is that unless you take it, you won't know what will happen. Some people experience a more lethal reaction, while others get extraordinary strength, invisibility, and bulletproof skin. But when the drug increases crime in the area to dangerous levels, a neighborhood cop (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) joins forces with a young dealer (Dominique Fishback) and a former soldier with a hidden grudge (Jamie Foxx) to use force against weakness and risk taking the drug in order to find and stop the organization that produced it.
