Despite having access to a wealth of skilled resources, it ultimately (and regretfully) fell short of expectations.

Why is it "regretfully"? I wanted to adore this movie so badly. Although I don't dislike this movie, I won't be remembering it for very long. Although it was quite enjoyable, it was much less likely to be watched again than its predecessors. This is coming from someone who is familiar with every frame and every word of every Scream movie's script! I didn't walk into the movie hoping that it would surpass the first or be "as excellent." I had at least anticipated being astonished, amazed, and, dare I admit it, a little afraid. Let me begin by listing some of this movie's positive qualities.
